Meet Your Instructor

Bertold Ulsamer lives in Freiburg, Germany. He holds a PHD in law and received a degree in clinical psychology.


As a trainer in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) he started 1984 to train managers in leadership, communication and self-management skills.


Meeting the work of Bert Hellinger in 1994 he has lead workshops and facilitated trainings in Europe, USA, Asia and Africa. His 3-year training with Peter Levine in Trauma work ("Somatic Experiencing") adds important insights and applications to his constellation work.


He is the author of 30 books, out of which 7 are about constellation work including "The Positive Power of the Past", "The Art and Practice of Family Constellations"

Meet your Host

Iris Savir Shaham is a mother, a Family Constellation facilitator and an artist living in Durango, Colorado. Growing up in a Kibbutz in Southern Israel, she developed a deep connection to nature, shaped by a rich heritage rooted in Belarus and Syria. Her early years were filled with vibrant community life, laying the foundation for her passion for connection.


Introduced to Family Constellations in her 20's, Iris discovered in it a profound sense of clarity and belonging that shaped her path. Trained by experts including Dr. Bertold Ulsamer, Leslie Nipps, Suzi Tucker, Yishai Gaster and enriched by workshops with leaders like Sarah Peyton, Andrea Bosbach Largent, she brings over a decade of expertise to her practice.


She also incorporates trauma-informed approaches learned from Dr. Gabor Maté, Dr. Janina Fisher, Dr. Peter Levine and othres, offering a compassionate and integrative perspective to help others find freedom and connection.

A Brief Overview of this Course

Module 1

You will learn about Trauma definitions and how to recognize a trauma. You will also obsereve Bertold working live with a client on a trauma caused weight problems, followed by him explaining his process.

Module 2

Here you will learn about the 3 main symptoms of big T trauma, the biological root of a trauma and you will watch Bertold's live session with a client addressing the topic of feeling safe around men, integrating several techniques.

Module 3

Here you will learn as the therapist how to avoid retraumatization. Observe Bertold deepening the work with a previous client and will watch a new live session on navigating dysfunctional relationships.

Module 4

This module includes two live sessions where you'll see Bertold working on transforming self-love amidst complex family dynamics. On the second session, he addresses fear of life rooted in transgenerational trauma, helping the client reconnect with life

Module 5

Expand your toolkit with somatic and pendulation techniques and watch Bertold work on two live sessions. One focuses on reconnecting with life after a near-death experience. The other addressess terror and guilt linked to physical health.

Module 6

Two live sessions bring the learning full circle. The first one explores overcoming fear of judgment rooted in childhood, emphasizing trust and self-compassion- The secon examines prenatal trauma from a natural disaster, separating inherited burdens.
